the auburn plainsman

Sunday, April 8, 2018
Hey there!

This week I am sharing something a little different: an article posted by my University's newspaper, The Plainsman. I am so honored to be published in the fashion issue of the paper, and had the wonderful opportunity of being interviewed by Hannah Lester for the article. I loved getting back to why I started the blog, and had so much just recapping what blogging means to me. Thinking about it more though, it honestly reminded me why Hailey Daily has continued to evolve over the years: because the constant of fashion and style have stayed important to me. However, one thing I have lost sight of is the importance of staying rooted in genuine content, and not so being so involved in numbers and followings. Over the years, I have become more and more obsessed with growth and becoming a bigger, better blogger. Although having goals and ambition is obviously great, I have somewhat lost sight of my overarching goal that inspired me to start Hailey Daily almost four years ago: to share my outfit ideas on a creative platform that allows me to inspire others. I have become more and more concerned with growing a big following and having taken a step back after reading the article, I realized that I want to be more invested in my followers ability to relate to me and my style. I want to be more genuine. I want to care less about numbers and more about people. I want to be inspired by others work, and not by their stats. I want to go back to when I didn't stress out if I didn't post every single day. When I started Hailey Daily I didn't tell a soul, and I was doing it purely to have a creative outlet. I didn't intend for it to be something everyone or even anyone ever knew about, and it surely wasn't something I wanted to create a business or even side-gig out of. It was simply for me. Today, it still is for me, but I put a lot of pressure on myself about collaborations and whether people will like the content or not. I don't want to be driven by that, but rather by my own intuition and love for fashion. That's it.

So, having said all of that: I hope you that you will still follow along on my journey, and that you will hold me to this. I want to be on a platform that allows me to do nothing more than share who I am and what I love. I want to be more than just a blogger and influencer, I want to be present, in my life and on my blog and not stress about that.

If you want to read more of the article, check it out here :)

Hello again!

What a whirlwind of a week this will be. I have three tests this week, formal on Friday, I am moving out of my apartment and into a new one on Saturday, and then leaving for NYC at 5 am on Sunday. WHOA. Once I get back from my week long trip to New York Trip (which I will be recapping on here!!), I am headed to Miami for Spring Break. I am SO ready to head to Florida and be warm just all the time. I love spring and summer shoes most, especially how fun and flirty they can be. I was in love with this style of heel last summer, and I am so beyond happy it has returned this season. I also love how easily these heels can be transformed from being structured with jeans, to being flirty with a mini dress or skirt. They would be perfect to transition into fall, too!

transitioning from summer to fall with romwe

top | skirt | booties

Hey there!

The hardest part about fall in the south is the transition of our clothing. One day it's sandals and tank tops, and the next it's light sweaters and booties. There is no real time where we all make the shift, and for that very reason, everyone is always shifting in different ways at different times. My favorite thing to do during the fall is take my summery tops and pair them with super fall toned bottoms, like this skirt. My top is the perfect lil throw on piece with high waisted pants or skirts! The best part about this top is that it is less than $15 (what!? I know crazy!!) It is perfect to transition into fall with, as it pairs so nicely over those fall bottoms you've been dying to wear, but you won't die from a heat stroke!

diff sunnies | similar pants | similar top | sneakers | never full

Hey there!

I am so happy to be pack and posting with DIFF Eyewear! Diff continues to produce the cutest sunnies, while still doing an amazing job of giving back. For every pair of sunglasses purchased, one pair is given to a person in need of reading glasses, how cool is that? So, when you purchase a pair you can feel good about knowing that your purchase is doing good. This pair is my all time fave right now, they are so sleek, mod, and can be paired with black or brown, or any color of the rainbow! I love that they are large and on trend, but still can be worn with my baggy t-shirts for class.
You can purchase this pair here :)
Thanks to Diff for sponsoring this post!

DIFF eyewear sunnies | tank | shorts | sneakers

Hello again!

Can you believe it? Tomorrow is my official start of summer! Summer means a lot of things for me this year, the start of my final summer of my undergrad (well.. maybe, haha), my first summer class and real taste of visual merchandising, and a summer full of work and blogging! It also means the beginning of fun summer outfits and accessories. One of my favorite ways to accessorize in the summer is with sunglasses. I absolutely love how fun and vibrant sunglasses have become, and how much of a fashion statement they now make! The best part about this though is now not only can you make a fashion statement, but you can also make a difference while doing so! Diff Eyewear is a charitable sunglass company that is giving back with every purchase made. For every pair of sunglasses purchased, a pair of eyeglasses are given to someone in need. Now not only can you feel good about purchasing cute sunnies, you can have the joy of giving back!
You can read more about their mission here :)

Hello again!

I can't believe that this week I am finishing up my last round of classes of my Junior year at Auburn University. It feels like just yesterday I was putting up my post about moving to Auburn! I have fallen in love with this sweet city and its lovely people, as well as my life here. As the end of the semester draws near, I realize how much closer summer is and boy, am I excited for some warm weather! I have always loved summer most (probably because my birthday is in July.. #noshame) because I love the sun, the beach, and of course, summer clothes!! This little tee from Maude Boutique is the perfect summer tee and everything from the "nothin but good times" slogan, the cut of the tee, and the little cacti and moon is so in right now.
Thank you so much to Maude for sponsoring this post!

crest vest

Wednesday, November 9, 2016

Hey there!

As you saw on the blog last week, I am currently doing a two part series of What I Wear to Class, and this is the second part, featuring this University Tees vest. As I said before, I am constantly wearing comfortable and cute clothing to class. I absolutely love vests during the fall/winter because they automatically pull together an entire outfit, and are perfect for those breezy mornings! I also love this vest because if I wanted to dress it up I could pair this exact look with jeans and riding boots and it would super quickly become a look I could wear to the fair or out for dinner. I also love this vest because it could be done in a bulk order with just your sorority's letters and your school or chapter name, or you could even just do your organizations crest or name (like seen above)! I also love that University Tees uses the comfiest basics to print on their products. Definitely check out their page to do a custom bulk order or just to shop their pre-made individual products :)
