Ah, it is officially summer and it is definitely in the air..and in when I say its in the air I mean it's suffocating everyone in Augusta and causing people to stay inside. Summer has NEVER hit this hard. I don't know about ya'll but in Georgia it is already about to break 100 degrees every other day. Trying to stay cool and cute is a pretty tough task.... especially if you are required to dress up for an event that will be outside. I feel as if the romper has made an even bigger comeback this summer. New styles of rompers are hitting the floors in retail stores and I definitely am digging this not-so-new trend. Before now I always thought I couldn't pull them off, but after ordering this one of Tobi, I have been romper obsessed. 

So now that we have talked about how great rompers are, lets talk about how great Tobi is. I found Tobi after my absolute favorite youtuber Sarah of Sarahbelle93x talked about them ages ago. The site is awesome because 1. When you register you get your first purchase 50% OFF.

Hello, hello, hello! Though its been a while since my last post... (errrr maybe a little longer than a while...3 or 4 months?? But whose counting..) I am so thankful that though I have been out of my blogging zone for a while, I have people in my life who support me and remind me of my goals. Since my last post, a lot of things have been changing in my life. I have finally finished my first year of college (can I get a whoop whoop!?) and I feel its time to get back into the game. Having said this, my dear friend Rickey of The Mod Prep (go check his blog out.. like now!) and our self proclaimed not-yet-famous photographer Jessie went out for a shoot. Shoots are normally quick and to the point.. but with these two that was not the case. As we wandered up and down the streets of Augusta Rickey posed, Jessie shot, and I goofed around. A perfect shoot to say the least.

Now to the clothing.

Experimenting with  different styles has kind of been my thing lately. From the open back tops, to the lace bralettes, all the way down to the high top converse and spiked sandals, trends are always fun to play with (no worries.. those looks soon to come :). But some looks I always come back to. Classic looks that include navy, white, and gold will probably always be at the top of my list. Though I couldn't find the exact skirt or top, I linked some that I think would be fun if put together or even paired with other looks. Eyelet skirts and tops are perfect for spring and summer and light weight white tops literally never go out of style. Done and done. P.S. these Lauren style Jack Rogers have had my eye for a while and I finally splurged and purchased them. Best. Decision. Ever. (okay... you got me, maybe not ever, but you get the idea!) Though they are not the most comfy sandals ever made, one can expect from the line of shoes they come from they are not made for support. As a twist on the classic Navajo I love that I can pair these with a little bit more of a dressy look, but they also double as an alternative to the traditional pair I already have. All in all, I would definitely recommend purchasing these summer staples!

Can we just take a moment to talk about how fab this skirt is?

Because it is.. and the best part is I actually collaborated with Alex of Sarta Designs and got to pick the fabric for this skirt! Never have I worked with such a sweet, determined, (and easy to work with) individual like Alex. She is the absolute best and I am so thankful I got the opportunity to work with her to create this skirt for her 'bloggers spring line'. This skirt screams spring and as soon as I found the fabric I knew it was going to be perfect for the line! I love hues like sea green, fuchsia, and chartreuse for spring. Although the ugly winter weather is still lurking outside, I want to pretend that spring is in fact around the corner, and by putting on this skirt I think it kind of gives me a slight bit of hope. I'm so excited to find new ways to style this skirt all spring and summer! With all of the different colors its pretty much impossible to go wrong. I love florals for spring just as much as every other girls in the world but it has definitely  been over done.. thats why I love this skirt because its like a modern twist on floral.

FREEZING. COLD. RAIN. 
That's all I've got to say about this post... But forreal though, I don't think I've ever been this cold before. I was so desperate to get some good shots I nearly froze to death! As you know, I took these pictures in Germany over the Christmas break. In the very last photo you can see my Oma's barn in the background. One of my favorite parts about Germany (besides seeing my family-and lets not forget the food.. hello 50 extra pounds coming home) is knowing that I'm staying in a house that is over 100 years old. It's so hard for me to imagine what life must have been like here a hundred years ago when this house was built! Looking at old pictures and talking about family members I've never met is so interesting to me.

On to the post..
I think I probably wore this exact outfit 3 times while there...I kid you not. It's just so easy. Bean boots were ideal pretty much every single day because of the yucky rain/snow combo that was going on all day. Believe it or not.. this puffer vest is actually really warm. Don't under estimate the puffer.
