{ hot pink and herringbone }

Hello, Hello, Hello!

So, today starts off the beginning of my Thanksgiving Break!I don't know about y'all but I have been anxiously awaking this week for quite some time. I have been so overwhelmed with school it will be nice to even get one day full of relaxation (and yummy food!) in. I will be working most of my break because this is the busiest time for retail!
Today we randomly had a high of 74, and I gotta tell ya- that will through off your outfit planning (I promise I'm not a diva..:). I wasn't quite sure of what to wear  because the temps in the morning were around 60 but in the afternoon when I head to work it was around 73. For this reason I thought and Elsa top and Herringbone vest would be the perfect combo!

What plans do y'all have for Thanksgiving day and the rest of the break? Any fun Black Friday plans??

Until next time..

{ rule breaker }

Friday, November 14, 2014

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week. One of the big things that has always bothered me about fall is the whole "no white after labor day" rule. I don't know about y'all but living in the south makes it pretty hard not to wear white year round (hello.. 70 degree temps in November). So, I have justified the rule by exempting the south from the entire concept and labeled it as "winter white" (even if it never really becomes winter down here.. but shhh :) White jeans are just such a staple piece and I love wearing them regardless the time of year. What do you do think, am I a rule breaker or is time for a change?

P.S. Once again I would like to give a huge shoutout to the lovely Georgie  Latremouille for taking these amazing shots of me! She is an awesome up-and-coming photographer and I would love to recommend her to anyone that lives in the Augusta, GA area!

Until next time..

{ fall basics }

Wednesday, November 5, 2014

Hello everyone!

Ahh its finally beginning to feel like fall in the south! We are FINALLY in the consistent low 60's and boy does it feel good. I have been waiting to wear this J. Crew field jacket since I bought it was back in July. Im so excited to pair it with my new favorite boots.They are by far the most comfy boots I own and that pretty much go with anything! There is just something about the classic looks of fall. A nice white button down, jeans, and riding boots is one of my go to outfits moving into this cooler weather. Whats your favorite combo this fall?

This week I decided to (for the first time ever!) team up with the super sweet Faith of Ivory Empire and share with yall our favorite fall look featuring the basic white button down. We both styled it with cognac riding boots and dark denim. I threw on a J.Crew field jacket, while Faith decide to go with a cute cardi. Both looks are perfect for fall and super easy to achieve. Whats your favorite way to style a white button down?

P.S. Once again I would like to give a huge shoutout to the lovely Georgie  Latremouille for taking these amazing shots of me! She is an awesome up-and-coming photographer and I would love to recommend her to anyone that lives in the Augusta, GA area!

{ Charles River Apparel Vest }

Monday, November 3, 2014

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone got a good start off to your week! I am SO excited to be sharing this fab vest that I received in the mail this week from Charles River Apparel! The "Radius Quilted Vest" is apart of Charles River Apparels new 2015 line. I adore this vest not only because of  its vibrant color (and duh because its pretty) but because the quality of it. It is lightweight and perfect for layering. I'm already planning different ways I am going to layer it on my trip to Europe for Christmas! I feel like most times vests can make you too hot in all the worn places(hello...underarms) but this vest doesn't do that-all the more reason to love it. It also folds up and can fit in small purse(this matters to me because it goes from being 50 in the am to 80 in the afternoon here in Georgia).

Until next time..

{ houndstooth in fall }

Tuesday, October 21, 2014

Well, I must say that picking out outfits in south during this season can be quite tricky. In the morning all  I want to do is put on riding boots and a sweater, but come 12p.m. I am dying and want to pull my boots off and trade my sweater for a blouse. This outift is perfect for that, in the morning I can wear tights and the sweater, and come lunch time I can pull the cardigan and tights off! That way when its time to head to work I don't even have to change.

{ fall transitions }

Sunday, October 5, 2014

I hope everyone has had a great start to their fall semester! I know I have. This past month I have been keeping busy with sorority business, work, and school stuff. I don't know about y'all, but this can get super crazy and waking up in the morning knowing I wont be home until 9 is a little bit overwhelming! I am constantly trying to find a happy medium that I can wear to school, work, and for just hanging out. This Piko Tunic is perfect for fall because it can be worn as a dress in the warmer days that we are in now, but can also be worn with leggings as we move into the cooler months! I bought it in this mustard yellow color, grey, and green :) I'm just so excited for fall, and because this weather cannot seem to make up its mind, this is definitely my go to outfit right now. ALSO, I would like to give a shout out to Pomp and Circumstance Boutique for their amazing customer service and quick return time! I have never had a package get to me so fast, and for a girl who anxiously waits for packages, this was quite a treat!

P.S. Once again I would like to give a huge shout out to the lovely Georgie  Latremouille for taking these awesome shots of me the other day! She is an awesome up-and-coming photographer and I would love to recommend her to anyone that lives in the Augusta, GA area!
